Add the weight of the equipment and the maximum load, then divide by the number of castors minus one. For example, 600kg on 4 castors needs castors rated at least 200kg each.
PU and TPR are quiet and non-marking for smooth indoor floors. Nylon and cast iron roll easily under heavy loads on hard floors. Rubber and pneumatic wheels absorb shocks outdoors and on uneven ground.
Swivel castors rotate 360 degrees for steering. Rigid castors only roll straight for tracking. Brake castors lock the wheel, and total brake locks both the wheel and the swivel.
